Sydney to Gold Coast Drive

DAY 15: Gold Coast

Queensland’s iconic seaside city stretches from Coolangatta in the south to Beenleigh in the north. It is 52 km of white sand beaches, theme parks, bars, restaurants, markets, art galleries, day spas, wildlife encounters and rainforest walks. It’s a place for singles, families and lots of fun.

Experience a 7D cinema, visit Dracula’s haunted house, get a birds eye view from Skypoint observation deck, fly over the region in a hot air balloon, or try your skills on a flight simulator. Seriously, if you can imagine it, you can probably do it at the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Public Transport

For exploring the Gold Coast, we suggest leaving your campervan in the caravan park so you don’t have to worry about parking. The best way to get around is to buy a Go Explore card for $10 (adult) or $5 (kids). This gives you unlimited access to buses and trams for 24 hours and will get you to all the best beaches, theme parks, attractions, shops, restaurants and even the airport.

You can buy Go Explore cards at 7 Eleven stores, the Gold Coast airport, some hotel booking desks, or online if you have an address for it to be sent. Pick up a Gold Coast Network map at the same time.
